I’ve been into ENS for 8 months and I’m shook by what I continue to learn:
1. HISTORIC
ENS was created in 2017, over 5 years ago.
They are older than the @cryptopunksnfts
2. ENS DAO DISCORD
ENS has a discord allowing a place for the users to get support, ask questions and hang out. Here is the link- https://chat.ens.domains
3. INVALID NAMES
You are unable to register some characters on the ENS app but there is a hack to this… Registering directly from the ENS contract and here is how
*Note: Don’t do this unless you plan on loosing money, it’s not guaranteed these names will be normalized.
4. MORE THAN A WALLET NAME
You can build a decentralized website with your ENS name
In fact, there is a NFT collection that has simplified the process enough all you have to do is drag and drop!

5. EMOJIS ARENT USELESS
You can set up emoji ENS names as your primary name and receive crypto payments with them.
6. ORGANIC GROWTH
We are currently at over 2.5M registrations with over 560k participants all done with -

No Marketing
No Advertisements
ENS is a grassroots movement and it keeps breaking records
7. THE “HACK”
You can manually enter the registration period to 0.1 year … many people do this due to low liquidity or to just make a quick flip.
This is why it is always a good idea to check out expiration dates when buying off secondary!
8. DNS IMPORTATION
ENS bridges the gap from Web2 to Web3 by allowing DNS (.com) names to be imported into ENS and making them an ENS name… with restrictions.

9. INTEGRATIONS GALORE
ENS is integrated in over 200 platforms which include defi dapps, NFT markets, wallets, and more!
As this list continues to grow, so will your web3 identity in the sense that it will be recognized across more platforms.
10. POWER OF SUBDOMAINS
Subdomains will allow you to verify your ownership of valuable NFTS without the need to connect the wallet holding that valuable NFT.

In the future I predict ENS will hold an important role in simplifying our day to day lives. it can potentially be the NFT that everyone will NEED.
